Our time with God is always under attack

So we all get to a point where things in our daily life begin to get in the way of time with God. Yes me too. But you know what I always notice? I get so antsy and weird and I feel off balance.

Lately I've been praying and asking God to help me come back to that place of wanting to read His word. It's like I've been fighting this invisible force, and that's exactly what it is. A spiritual force that compels me to watch Netflix over worshipping God for a few hours.

I had to draw a line. After I prayed I said, yuck, this is not what I want anymore. I need you Lord. I want to be sure I'm not getting off track with you. So I believed in my heart that He was helping me to, in a sense, "put down the world" and run back to Him.

I know you struggle with this too. Our time with God is always under attack. I just want to remind you that it's simple. All we have to do is pray about it and take action. Just pick up your bible, set a timer if you have to schedule God in. Do whatever it takes to build that space again. It's that important.

What I see now is a shift. The Word of God feels fresh and tasty, it's hard to explain. But I know it's the supernatural truth that The Word is alive and we as people cannot live by bread alone.
