Queen Esther - Concubine Vibes & Judgy Eyes

Let's talk about Queen Esther. I was thinking about how her life was thrown into chaos. When we read about her in the Bible, she seems to be a nice, humble girl who is obedient to her uncle Mordecai. She follows all the rules and does everything she is supposed to. She could never imagine that her entire life would be turned upside down because the king would need a new wife. She definitely never dreamed in a million years that she could ever be queen.

What were her options in this situation? Think about being a woman back then. Put yourself in Esther's shoes. I would think to myself "There is no way I will be queen, the king would never choose me because of what I come from?!"

I'd overthink and quickly conclude that I would end up as a concubine.  That this would be the end of any plans I had for my own life. I don't get to have a family, husband, children of my own. I'm property of the king. I would be devastated, crying out to God, asking Him why me?!

Saying "God, I've tried to live right, why would you put me in this position? Why is this happening in my life? This isn't supposed to happen to me!" But the truth is God was positioning Esther to preserve a nation.

If you were looking in from the outside, people probably talked about her. Mocked how she "served" her God, saying "look at what her God did to her. Look at where she is now! She will be a concubine of the king!"

Her journey really made me take a look at my own life and I hope you look at yours. Sometimes, walking with God can look very peculiar and chaotic from the outer perspective. People don't usually understand the path God has you on. But I want you to know that even when it looks like a calamity, remember, God has a purpose and a plan for your life.

If you are doing your best to walk to live in obedience and relationship with Him. He is going to use you to preserve a nation. Every person has a God-given purpose to affect people. There are people on this earth that you are supposed to impact and influence. That is what God cares about, the people.

Do not give up on your path with God just because your life is chaotic. Just because it looks like you will end up a "concubine to the king." Trust God, have faith and know that His purpose for your life will prevail. God is going to bring resolve to every situation, no matter what it looks like. You never know what is on the horizon for you. It's your job to continue to believe and seek God.
